All East Noble Early Childhood programs have been developed to serve children with identified disabilities . For information regarding evaluation and placement for a child between the ages of 3 and 5 with suspected disabilities, contact Jo Willer, Director of Special Services at 347-2502.
Children are placed in preschool programs either based on their eligibility for services as a child with a disability, or as Community Placements for children without an identified disability, on a first come, first served basis. Initial registration for Community Placements occurrend during the month of May. Parents of children who will attend our programs as community Students in the fall of 2009 have received notification of their child's placement. However, this enrollment needs to be confirmed again at the school Fall Registration events early in August 2009 AT THE SCHOOL WHERE YOUR CHILD WILL ATTEND.
Any additional requests for preschool placement can be made in August at your local school. Openings many times occur over the summer and it could be that openings may be available at another school in the district. No further preschool registrations will be taken over the summer.
East Noble School Corporation also works in collaboration with LEAP of Noble County in providing services to preschool age children and their families through The Family Literacy Program operating at South Side School. This program provides assistance for parents wanting to complete a high school equivalancy GED and / or to develop job skills. Preschool age children of parents in this program are eligible for preschool services as well. For more information contact Chris Ott at 349-2209.
