Rome City Preschool
* Time of Classes- Am-8:45-11:15 PM-12:15-2:45 We follow East Noble Schedule. AM class does not meet if there is a 2-hour delay. Both classes do not meet if school is cancelled.
*Staff-Melissa Spencer is the teacher at Rome City School. I have taught preschool for a total of 3 years. We also have 2 assistance who have worked with preschool students for several years.
*The Classroom-The early childhood classroom is arranged in an exploration and individualized goals based on the academic needs of the child. The classroom is centered around 5 major components of development. These include social/emotional development, language development, cognitive development, gross and fine motor developments, and self help skill development.
*Involvement with Rome City School-Preschool students particiapate in all special events arranged by the Rome City School. We have access to library time at the school. We also participate in Adapted PE which allows for large and fine motor development.
*Parent involvement-Each child will be given a notebook to allow for communication between teacher and parents. Progress reports will be issued 4 times per school year to monitor progress.
*Snack time-A nutritious snack and drink are provided to the students daily. The snack time is utilized for social emotional development as well as behavior and manners. We are always accepting snack donations and may ask for your help with providing snack periodically.
